Daniel & Anna’s Pre-Wedding Shoot in Chester

For Daniel and Anna’s pre-wedding shoot we were down by the river which is one of our favourite locations in Chester.  It was then into Grosvenor park for some colour, as you can tell this was going back more than a few weeks as there isn’t much colour left in there now!

Anne & James – Wedding in Criccieth, North Wales

In terms of distance this year Anne and James’s wedding in Criccieth was the furthest from our base in Wrexham, due to having a young family we don’t do destination weddings abroad so Criccieth was a destination wedding for us:)  We stayed over the night before so as to be fresh in the morning and ready to go for what was a lovely but very very wet wedding.  Criccieth is a coastal town in Wales and the wind and rain really battered in from the sea but that didnt dampen spirits at the wedding.  At every wedding we take a large group shot of every guest at the wedding and usually this involves me hanging out of window or climbing up a fire escape, at this wedding, no chance it was so wet I had to take a picture of over a hundred guests indoors, and light them!  not easy but we pulled it off.  We got to make use of the lovely venue with was Bron Eifion Country House Hotel and did get a bit of a break in the clouds so we could use the gardens with Anne and James.

Vicky & Graham – Wedding at Ruthin Castle

We are back from holiday and so its time to catch up with blogging!  For Vicky and Grahams wedding we were once again at Ruthin Castle in Denbighshire, one of our favorite venues and one that Rachel and I stayed at a few weeks ago at a friends wedding.  Vicky and Graham both got ready at the castle with the service there also, so we had plenty of time for photos before and after the ceremony.  We are about to start designing their album and cant wait to see the finished book.

Jon & Emma – Wedding at the Red House Chester

Lots of lovely weddings to blog from this summer before we can go on our well deserved holiday:)  Starting with Jon and Emma’s Chester wedding, Rachel started the day with Emma at her house whilst I met up with Jon at the Grosvenor in Chester.  We then walked down to the church for the service and whilst there I had a great chat with one of the monks about photography, he knew his stuff!  Following the service as Emma is a teacher some of her pupils gave a guard of honor with rulers! and it was then down to the river for a trip on the Lady Diana showboat down to the lovley Red House Restaurant for the reception.

We try to tailor our service to our customer’s preferences and we took a very documentary style on this wedding and we just received a great thank you card from Jon and Emma so they were pleased with them too.  Enjoy…

Liam Crawley - Wow Steve, not checked on your blog for a while but this wedding is fantastic, I’ve always wanted to shoot at the Red House! Fantastic coverage from start to finish – particularly love your firework shot, great skills!

admin - Cheers Liam thanks very much, its a nice venue, very modern and great location we are there a couple of times next year.

I thought you only photographed weddings!

That’s what a few people have been saying lately, and I must admit looking at our website it was not difficult to get that impression.  The truth is we do lots of portrait shoots both in our studio and out on location and I am very guilty of not putting them on the blog!   This week you may have noticed our website has been completely updated and you can now visit a separate site for portraits and weddings, (if not click here and have a look)

Between Rachel and myself we photograph babies, children, families and Rachel of course specialises in her maternity and boudoir shoots.  So if you are looking for a family portrait this Christmas or to give a portrait session as a gift then please get in touch and I will promise to post more portraits and not just weddings on the blog!
