Street Portrait Shoot – Katie

Last Tuesday I had a really great shoot with Katie Bellis around Wrexham town centre.  I think its really interesting to have a look at the immediate environment around you for inspiration, all towns and city’s have areas that can be great canvases for photography.   Big thanks has to go to the security guard at the eagle meadow shopping centre who was really cool about us shooting there when we were fully expecting to get moved on!

If you would like a urban portrait session then get in touch and we can you into one of our funky street scenes.

Steve,

Compliments on a great set of images.

Can I ask what sort of lens you were using, particularly on the last shot with Katie (urban street set, the one with very nice ‘out of focus’ background?

From your images on your site, I can see that you have done some Damien Lovegrove courses. I’m going to do an Urban Portrait course later this year so have great expectations.

Thanks
David.

Hi David, thanks for your comments, the lens was the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS my favorite lens, it weighs a ton but quality is amazing. Yes spent some time with Damien and he if definitely an inspiration to work with, I am down their again in September so we may well be on the same workshop!
