I’m finally sharing with you one of my favourite weddings of the year, that of Rachel and Ryan which took place in Middlewich in Cheshire. When Rachel and Ryan first got in contact with me about photographing their wedding I was already booked so they actually moved their wedding date so that I would be available which was truly humbling, and I was so determined to repay their faith in me with beautiful pictures. Rachel was with me for the day and started at Rachel and Ryans house covering the bridal preps whilst I met up with Ryan and the groomsmen at the church, St. Michael and All Angels. After a brief conversation with the vicar I was told no pictures from the front of the church but after Ryan got involved I’m pleased to say I was at the front covering the action 🙂
After the service it was time for the congratulations from the guests and some formal family pictures in the church grounds before a big group picture using the nearby Roman Theatre. The guests went off to the reception at the local club whilst we headed off to a fantastic location which I know very well, the canal bank. I have a share in a narrowboat which is moored nearby in Sandbach and have travelled up the Middlewich canal many times but unsurprisingly never done a wedding shoot there! The canal boats and bridges made a fantastic backdrop for the bride and groom pictures and the boaters were great with many offering to allow us to use their boats for the pictures. We then all walked back to join the guests at the reception and we captured the speeches before we left Rachel and Ryan to enjoy the rest of their day.
